The Nuggets are headed to the Playoffs! The Nuggets are headed to the Playoffs!
Can you believe the turnaround that we saw with this team over the course of this winter and spring? They went from their usual, strong playing selves to an unmotivated, not winning team that we didn't even recognize. And then, somehow, they turned it around and ACTUALLY made it to the NBA playoffs this year. Awesome.
They're taking on the LA Lakers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. This is going to be a tough opponent: the Lakers have one of the strongest records in the entire league, not just the Western Conference. So if we can manage to win this best of seven series, oust the Lakers as our competition and move on to the second round, I have to say that we have a super good chance of making it all the way. Because that means that not only do we have the talent, but the Nuggets roster will be extra motivated and have a higher confidence level after taking out such a big competitor.
I'll be at every home game I can make it to! They play at home on Friday and Sunday this week - perfect weekend plans for us Nuggets lovers in town. I already got Nuggets tickets for both of those games. I'm guessing that prices will just keep going up with such a big team coming to town. If needed, they'll also play at home next Thursday - but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
GO NUGGETS!

Nuggets Playoff Tickets Will Soon Be A Reality
With all of the negativity about the Nuggets making it to the NBA Playoffs this year, the team seems to be getting their act together just in time! They've won six of their last games, are seeded sixth in their conference and have essentially CLINCHED a spot in the playoffs. Quite a different story from the team we were talking about for the last couple of weeks.
There are two games left on the Nuggets schedule this season, both of which will be played away. They play AT Oklahoma City on Wednesday and AT Minnesota on Thursday. Oklahoma could be a tough game, but Thursday should be an easy win - with so many injuries on the Timberwolves roster right now, they're not going to be competitive for a team like our Nuggets. Unless they totally drop the direction they're currently moving in.
I can't wait to get my hands on some Nuggets playoff tickets - if these guys can keep up their stamina, this could be an amazing playoff run!

Denver Nuggets are still holding on to their NBA Playoffs Chance
Well, our Denver Nuggets are still hang-hang-hanging onto their dream to make it to the NBA Playoffs this year. It's funny, because usually it's not even a question of whether or not our Nuggets will make it to the Playoffs. But this year is a little bit of a different story. Without our clinch shooter Carmelo Anthony on the Nuggets roster anymore, those last minute saves haven't been happening quite so much this season. And with a roster that's been kind of plagued with injuries since January, the Nuggets schedule that usually leaves a trail of "W"s has had some extra "L"s thrown in there. But they're hanging in there. They beat out their biggest competitor for their slot in the playoffs (the Houston Rockets) on Sunday in Denver. They play them tonight again in Texas - a game that could be a point to set them apart in this battle to the finish. However you look at it, it's going to be an exciting final six games for the Nugs!

The Denver Nuggets and the NBA Playoffs
So the Nuggets have a chance at the Playoffs - duh, they always do. But with their recent not-so-great level of play, here's what I can tell you about what their REAL chances are of actually making it to/past the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
1. Today, the Nuggets are sitting as the eighth seed in the Western Conference. Therefore, if the end of the season was right this second, they would be a shoe in. For the first round, at least.
2. One loss could push the Nuggets to the ninth seed in the Western Conference and crush their playoff dreams. Since the Phoenix Suns are behind them by one game and the Utah Jazz are behind them by one and a half games, the competition over these last few games will be tough.
3. The Denver Nuggets roster has been PLAGUED by injuries this season. One injury could result in lower morale and could result in a few losses. No bueno for our hometown team.
4. The remaining games on the Nuggets schedule are going to be tough. They play the Rockets twice, the Thunder, the Lakers and the Clippers (and the Timberwolves, but that's for sure a win) - meaning there is room for error. But also room for triumph.
I'm not saying that I don't believe in the Nuggets- obviously they're my team! But I'm trying to be realistic, it IS possible that they won't make the playoffs this year. And Playoff disappointment isn't fun for anyone...so let's just throw it in the hat that we're at about 50/50 right now for a playoff run...

Denver Nuggets Behind The Scenes Training
Have you ever wondered what it takes to be on the Denver Nuggets roster? Yeah, me too. Now there's a YouTube series that chronicles the behind-the-scenes team building of the Nuggets roster - and this is some INTENSE training. It's pretty cool to see all of the on the court and off the court training that these guys do. All that stuff that really makes you understand why this team is ranked so high within the NBA and made the playoffs in eight of the last eight years! Check it out for yourself, yo:

Denver Nuggets: Are They Playoff Bound?
There's no denying that the Nuggets haven't been playing quite their best lately. And that if they are going to actually make the NBA Playoffs, they're going to have to work like crazy to get their ranking back within the top teams in the league. Cause you know there are going to be a lot of pissed off fans if these guys can't get their ish together after playing pretty damn well all season and then falling apart right when it was really starting to count. Coming up on the Nuggets schedule: a four game series on the road...They take on the Raptors tomorrow, the Bobcats on Friday, the Magin on Sunday and the Hornets next Wednesday. They'll be home again to battle it out with the Suns at the Pepsi Center NEXT Friday - so make some Friday night plans and cheer these guys on to the playoffs!

NeNe Works Out With The Washington Wizards?
In a strange turn of events, Denver Nuggets roster man NeNe is a Nugget no longer. Instead he's been traded to the second worst team in the league - the Washington Wizards. Odd, considering the fact that he signed a $67 MILLION contract with Denver just months ago in December. When asked about how the trade came about, he said,
"You don't want to know...I still have no clue how it happened."
Denver Nuggets fans, including myself, are left confused, a little upset at the loss of a fan favorite player and a little bewildered as to the team this superstar was traded to. It's definitely not normal for a team to trade a integral player like NeNe at this point in the season, when play style has been established and the Nuggs are potentially playoff bound. I guess the coming days will let us know (hopefully) what happened to spark this trade!
